A Community of Love, Connection, Healing and Growth
Our Village was born from a vision of love, healing, and unwavering support. In 2015, Nussy Munk zt”l and Sony Perlman founded Arena Sober Living, a place that quickly became a beacon of hope for those seeking a supportive sober environment.
Following Nussy’s untimely passing, Arena closed in 2017, but the need for a recovery-focused, attachment-based community remained. In 2019, Sony Perlman, a seasoned expert in the field and clinical director of Our Place drop-in center in Brooklyn, approached the Our Place founders with an idea: to reopen the sober living home under their umbrella This conversation sparked the birth of Our Village—a thriving, loving community for those on their journey to recovery.
At Our Village, we believe that addiction is often rooted in a deep sense of unworthiness—a belief that one is unloved and undeserving. Our approach is simple yet transformative: we envelope each person in unwavering love, nurturing them until their inherent worth begins to surface.

Through boundless love, acceptance, and an unshakable belief in each person’s potential, Our Village creates a space where true healing happens—where individuals not only recover but rediscover themselves and their place in a caring, supportive community.
